Spot UV is a printing enhancement that applies a clear, glossy UV varnish to specific areas of a printed design. This creates a distinctive high-gloss finish that stands out against the matte background, drawing attention to selected elements such as logos, text, or images. The UV cured coating provides addtional protection to printed surfaces and adds sophistication to your card.

Print Ready Files
- Artwork is to be provided as a two page press ready PDF with the Spot UV & front of the card on page 1 and the back of the card on page 2
- Artboards must be correctly sized with a minimum of 2mm external bleed
- Recommended safe zone for print is 3mm in from all sides
- Artwork must be submitted with printer trim marks
- All colours must be CMYK only.
- Recommended resolution for images is a minimum of 300dpi
- All artwork must be flattened with all images embedded and all fonts converted to outline
- Rich black breakdown: C-40, M-40, Y-40, K-100. Text is fine with K-100 only
SPOT UV LAYER
- Must be a spot colour
- Must be a separate layer named SPOTUV
- Set to overprint fill
PREPARING FILES FOR SPOT UV
*Please note that all lines/strokes that are to be highlighted in Spot UV, must be at least 0.25mm thick, or the Spot UV may not appear as clear or sharp. Spot UV can shift slightly when applied, avoid applying it to thin lines, small text or finely detailed artwork.
* Adding a matte cello glaze will dark in the colours by approximately 5%
* As per industry standard colours may vary up to 5%

FILES SUBMITTED INCORRECTLY
If an uploaded file is not print ready Stickerman will contact you and give you the opportunity to adjust the print file. In the event a file cannot be adjusted by the client Stickerman can provide a quotation for file adjustment.
