Premium and eye-catching. Metallic Roll Labels are printed on metallic silver synthetic stock and supplied on rolls with a 76mm diameter core – perfect for luxury branding, product highlights, and packaging that demands attention. The silver base can be transformed into gold using custom CMYK colour codes, giving you versatile metallic finishes.

Choose from three printing options: Standard Metallic (CMYK printed directly on silver stock with natural metallic sheen showing through), White Ink (opaque white for stunning contrast and frosted glass effects), or Colour + White Ink (vibrant true-to-colour results with complete opacity). The white ink layer can be applied selectively, allowing you to combine metallic effects with solid colour areas in the same design. Choose from gloss or matte varnish or gloss or matte laminate finishes. Our synthetic material delivers excellent print quality, especially for tiny text and fine details. Available in set sizes or custom sizing options.

Ideal for cosmetics, toiletries, luxury goods, premium products, and high-end packaging where a distinctive metallic finish enhances brand perception. Minimum order 500 labels.

FAQs

Design & Artwork
What artwork files do you accept?
Metallic roll stickers require vector files only (AI, EPS, SVG). This allows us to accurately place the white ink layer where needed and ensure the sharpest possible results on the metallic substrate.

What is vector artwork?
Vector files are created using paths rather than pixels, which means they can be scaled to any size without losing quality. This gives you sharper prints and cleaner cut lines compared to raster images like JPG or PNG.

What if I don't have a vector file?
If your artwork isn't in vector format, see our "Convert My File To Vector" product. We can convert your design to a vector file suitable for metallic label printing.

Can I use Canva to create my design?
Yes — simply download your file as an SVG with a transparent background. Note: Canva may export some images or certain elements as JPG rather than vector. We'll notify you if this affects your file quality and discuss options before printing.

What printing options are available?
There are three printing options for metallic roll stickers:

Standard Metallic — CMYK colours printed directly onto the silver substrate. The metallic silver shows through all printed areas, creating a distinctive sheen and premium luminous effect throughout your design.

White Ink — Opaque white ink printed onto the metallic background. Bold white typography, or clean minimalist designs that contrast against the silver or gold substrate.

Colour + White Ink — A two-layer process that applies a solid white ink base beneath your CMYK colours for vibrant, true-to-colour results with complete opacity. The white ink can also be applied selectively to specific areas, allowing you to combine solid colour elements and metallic effect areas within the same design.

Do I need to add the white ink layer myself?
No — we'll add the white ink layer to your vector files at no cost. However, if you prefer to set it up yourself, visit the artwork help section on the product page for instructions on how to add the white ink layer correctly.

What is a white ink underlay?
A white ink underlay is a layer of opaque white ink printed beneath your design colours. Without it, CMYK colours printed onto the metallic substrate will take on a metallic sheen as the silver shows through. A full underlay eliminates this effect for true-to-colour results. A sectional underlay allows you to selectively choose which parts appear as solid colour and which retain the metallic effect — giving you the best of both in a single design.

Can I get a gold, rose gold, copper, or bronze effect?
Yes — while the base stock is metallic silver, other metallic colour effects can be achieved using specific CMYK colour codes:
Gold — C:5%, M:35%, Y:80%, K:0%
Rose Gold — C:4%, M:60%, Y:73%, K:5%
Copper — C:3%, M:65%, Y:95%, K:10%
Bronze — C:15%, M:70%, Y:85%, K:10%

Simply apply these values to the relevant areas of your artwork and the metallic substrate will show through to create the desired effect.

Can you fix or set up my artwork?
For print-ready vector files (AI, EPS, SVG), we add white ink layers and cut lines at no cost. For files needing resizing, bleed, or setup work, we offer a "Make My File Print Ready" service. For design modifications, see our "Convert My File To Vector" product or contact us for a custom quote.

Do I need to supply cut lines?
No. If needed, we'll create cut lines for you at no charge.

Will I see a proof before printing?
When placing your order, you'll select whether you have print-ready files, need file setup assistance, or need a new file created. Based on your selection, you'll see how many design proofs are included. For print-ready artwork with a proof requested, we'll add cut lines and the white ink layer but won't make adjustments to your design. If your file isn't set up correctly, we'll notify you so you can make the necessary changes.

What is a proof?
A proof is a digital preview of exactly how your label will look when printed. It shows the final design, colours, sizing, cut lines, and white ink layer placement, allowing you to review and approve everything before production begins.

When will I receive my proof?
Your proof will be emailed to you within 24–48 hours of placing your order. Please check your junk mail folder in case it's filtered there. If you haven't received your proof within this timeframe, please contact us directly. No work will move into production until the proof is approved via return email.

Materials & Finishing
What material are metallic roll stickers made from?
Metallic roll stickers are made from a general-purpose silver synthetic material with a rubber-based hot melt adhesive. The material is tear and water-resistant with a rigid, non-stretch finish, making it ideal for product labelling where consistency and a premium finish are important.

What finish options are available?
Metallic roll stickers are available with gloss varnish, matte varnish, gloss laminate, or matte laminate finishes. Laminate options provide enhanced protection against moisture, chemicals, and handling compared to varnish alone.

What surfaces can metallic roll stickers adhere to?
Metallic roll stickers adhere well to most smooth, clean, flat surfaces including glass, rigid plastic, metal, and coated cardboard. For best results, ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from dust or oils before application. Care should be taken with non-uniform or highly squeezable surfaces as these may affect adhesion and label appearance.

Are these labels removable?
Metallic roll stickers feature strong permanent adhesive designed for long-lasting application. While they can be removed, the vinyl will not be reusable. They are not designed for repositioning once applied.

Will the colours fade over time?
The print on metallic roll stickers is not UV stable and is designed for indoor product labelling or short-term outdoor use. Colours will fade over time with UV exposure. For UV-durable outdoor applications, please contact us to discuss the most suitable product for your needs.

Can these labels withstand exposure to oils and chemicals?
Metallic roll stickers are tear and water-resistant and suitable for general moisture exposure. They are suitable for products such as cosmetics, toiletries, luxury goods, automotive lubricants, food (non-direct contact), beverages, and household chemicals where durability and moisture or chemical resistance are required. For regular exposure to harsh chemicals or essential oils, we recommend choosing the laminate finish option for enhanced protection.

Can I use these labels on food packaging?
Yes — metallic roll stickers are suitable for food and beverage packaging for non-direct contact applications. They are perfect for outer packaging, bottles, jars, and containers, but should not be in direct contact with food products.

Will these labels work on frozen products?
Yes — metallic roll stickers can withstand service temperatures from -20°C to 80°C, making them suitable for frozen products. Labels must be applied to dry, room temperature products before freezing. Do not apply labels to cold or frozen surfaces, as the adhesive requires a minimum application temperature of 5°C.

What sizes and shapes are available?
Metallic roll stickers are available in a range of sizes and shapes. Custom sizing is also available — select the closest larger size from the dropdown and enter your required measurements, or contact us for a quote.

What is the minimum order quantity?
Metallic roll stickers have a minimum order of 500 labels. This makes them cost-effective for small to medium production runs while ensuring quality and consistency across your batch.

What happens if I don't use the labels within a year?
To obtain optimal performance, we recommend using roll labels within one year of the date of manufacture. After this time, adhesive performance may gradually decrease. Store unused labels in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to maximise shelf life.

How do I care for products with these labels on them?
For cleaning, hand-wash items gently and avoid using abrasive scrubbers directly on the label surface to maintain the best appearance over time. Metallic roll stickers are not dishwasher safe.

Production Times & Shipping
How long does it take to produce metallic roll stickers?
Standard production time is approximately 7–10 business days from order confirmation and artwork approval.

When will my order be shipped?
Your order will be dispatched as soon as production is complete. We'll send you tracking information once your order ships.

Can you rush my order if it's urgent?
Please contact us directly to discuss your timeline. We'll do our best to accommodate urgent orders where possible.

Who do you use for shipping?
We use local couriers for all our roll label deliveries, ensuring reliable and trackable shipping across Australia.

How long will delivery take once my order ships?
Delivery times depend on your location and the courier service used. You'll receive tracking information once your order is dispatched.

If I order multiple different products will my entire order arrive together?
If you order multiple different products, they may be dispatched separately as each item is completed. This means you might receive your order in multiple packages at different times. Each dispatch will be sent with tracking information so you can monitor all your deliveries.
