Frequently Asked Questions

What artwork files do you accept?
Vector files (AI, EPS, PDF, SVG) are best for the sharpest results. High-resolution PNG or JPG files also work well, provided they're clear and at least 300 DPI at the final print size.

What is vector artwork?
Vector files are created using paths rather than pixels, which means they can be scaled to any size without losing quality. This gives you sharper prints and cleaner cut lines compared to raster images like JPG or PNG.

Can you fix or set up my artwork?
We offer a "Make My File Print Ready" service that includes resizing, adding bleed, and preparing your file for production — with no changes to your actual artwork. If your design needs modifications or corrections, please contact us for a custom quote.

Do I need to supply cut lines?
No. If needed, we'll create cut lines for you at no charge.

Will I see a proof before printing?
When placing your order, you'll select whether you have print-ready files, need file setup assistance, or need a new file created. Based on your selection, you'll see how many design proofs are included. If you have print-ready artwork and request a proof, we'll add cut lines and send you a digital proof for approval. We won't make adjustments to your artwork unless you've selected one of our file setup options. If your file isn't set up correctly, we'll notify you before proceeding.

What is a proof?
A proof is a digital preview of exactly how your label will look when printed. It shows the final design, colors, sizing, and cut lines, allowing you to review and approve everything before production begins. This ensures the finished product matches your expectations.

When will I receive my proof?
Your proof will be emailed to you within 24-48 hours of placing your order. Please keep an eye on your inbox and check your junk mail folder in case it's filtered there. If you haven't received your proof within this timeframe, please contact us directly. No work will move into production until the proof is approved via return email.

What if my logo or image isn't high enough quality?
We'll assess your file and let you know if the quality is suitable for printing. If your artwork is too low resolution, we'll advise you and may be able to help recreate or source a better quality version for a small fee.

Why are Roll Labels better for tiny text than vinyl stickers?
The synthetic material used for roll labels holds fine detail exceptionally well. The rigid, non-stretch surface provides a stable base for printing, resulting in sharper, crisper reproduction of small text and intricate designs compared to vinyl.

Can I use white ink in my design?
White ink is available on Clear and Metallic roll labels only. If your design requires white ink on standard white synthetic labels, please contact us to discuss your requirements.

What surfaces can roll labels adhere to?
Roll labels adhere well to most smooth, clean, flat surfaces including glass, rigid plastic, metal, and coated cardboard. For best results, ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from dust or oils before application. They work best on uniform surfaces — care should be taken with non-uniform or highly squeezable products.

Are these labels removable?
While roll labels feature strong permanent adhesive designed for long-lasting application, they can be removed. However, depending on the surface and how long they've been applied, some adhesive residue may remain. They're not designed for repositioning once applied.

What's the difference between varnish and laminate finishes?
Varnish is a coating applied during printing that provides basic protection and adds gloss or matte finish. Laminate is an additional protective layer applied after printing, offering superior protection against UV fading, scratches, chemicals, and handling. Laminated labels are more durable and recommended for products that will be handled frequently or exposed to moisture and chemicals.

Can these labels withstand exposure to oils and chemicals?
Yes, roll labels are oil-resistant and water-resistant. The laminated finish provides enhanced protection against cleaning chemicals, essential oils, and frequent handling. If your labels will be regularly exposed to harsh chemicals, we strongly recommend choosing the laminated option.

Can I use these labels on food packaging?
Yes, roll labels are suitable for food and beverage packaging for non-direct contact applications. This means they're perfect for outer packaging, bottles, jars, and containers, but should not be in direct contact with food products.

Will these labels work on frozen products?
Yes — roll labels can withstand service temperatures from -20°C to 80°C, making them suitable for frozen products. However, labels must be applied to dry, room temperature products before freezing. Do not apply labels to cold or frozen surfaces, as the adhesive requires a minimum application temperature of 5°C.

Can these labels go in the dishwasher?
Roll labels are water-resistant and can handle exposure to moisture, but they're not specifically designed for dishwasher use like our vinyl stickers. If you need dishwasher-safe labels, we recommend our vinyl sticker range instead.

What's the minimum or maximum size I can order?
Minimum and maximum sizes vary by shape and product. Set sizes for Circle, Square, and Rectangle labels are listed on the product page. For custom sizes, please contact us for a quote. Clear and Metallic labels offer custom sizing — select the closest larger size from the dropdown and enter your required measurements.

How do I care for products with these labels on them?
Roll labels can handle regular cleaning with water and mild detergents. For hand-washing, simply clean as you normally would. Avoid using abrasive scrubbers directly on the label surface to maintain the best appearance over time.

What happens if I don't use the labels within a year?
To obtain optimal performance, we recommend using roll labels within one year of the date of manufacture. After this time, adhesive performance may gradually decrease. Store unused labels in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to maximize shelf life.

How long does it take to produce my roll labels?
Standard production time is approximately 7-10 business days from order confirmation and artwork approval.

When will my order be shipped?
Your order will be dispatched as soon as production is complete. We'll send you tracking information once your order ships.

Can you rush my order if it's urgent?
Please contact us directly to discuss your timeline. We'll do our best to accommodate urgent orders where possible.

Who do you use for shipping?
We use local couriers for all our roll label deliveries, ensuring reliable and trackable shipping across Australia.

How long will delivery take once my order ships?
Delivery times depend on your location and the courier service used. You'll receive tracking information once your order is dispatched.

If I order multiple different product will my entire order arrive together?
If you order multiple different products, they may be dispatched separately as each item is completed. This means you might receive your order in multiple packages at different times. Each dispatch will be sent with tracking information so you can monitor all your deliveries.

What's the minimum order quantity?
Roll labels have a minimum order of 500 labels. This makes them cost-effective for small to medium production runs while ensuring quality and consistency across your batch.
