What business card options are available in this range?
This range includes Starter Business Cards on uncoated 310gsm artboard, Premium Gloss and Matte Business Cards on 420gsm artboard with celloglaze coating, and premium specialty cards featuring metallic finishes (Rose Gold, Gold, and Silver), Scodix raised coating, and Spot UV gloss coating. All cards are 90 x 55mm and printed in full colour CMYK on both sides.
How do I choose the right business card for my brand?
Starter Cards are the best value option — uncoated, writable, and great for networking events, marketing campaigns, or budget-conscious runs. Premium Gloss Cards suit brands that want vibrant, eye-catching colour with a high-shine finish. Premium Matte Cards offer a sophisticated, tactile feel with a smooth non-reflective surface. Metallic, Scodix, and Spot UV cards are premium specialty options for brands that want to make an immediate impression — each uses a different finish technique to create a striking contrast between printed and coated areas of the design.
What is the difference between Scodix and Spot UV?
Both are clear coatings applied to selected areas of the card front, but Scodix has a more pronounced raised, dimensional quality — it sits higher off the surface and has a more tactile feel. Spot UV is flatter and more subtle with a smooth high-gloss sheen. If you want a bold, textural effect, Scodix is the better choice. If you prefer a refined, elegant gloss contrast, Spot UV delivers a clean and sophisticated result.
What is the difference between the metallic finish cards and the Scodix or Spot UV cards?
Metallic cards (Rose Gold, Gold, Silver) feature a genuine metallic finish applied over a velvet laminate, creating a mirror-like shine across selected areas of the design. Scodix and Spot UV cards use a clear raised or gloss coating applied over a velvet laminate — there is no metallic colour effect, just a contrast between the matte laminate surface and the clear coated areas. Metallic cards are bold and luminous; Scodix and Spot UV cards are refined and tactile.
Can I write on any of these business cards?
Yes — Starter Business Cards are printed on uncoated artboard and are fully compatible with pen and rubber stamps. All other cards in the range have a celloglaze or velvet laminate coating applied to at least the front, which can cause standard pen or stamps to smudge.
What artwork do I need to supply?
For Starter, Gloss, and Matte Business Cards, vector files (AI, EPS, PDF) are recommended though high-resolution PNG or JPG files at 300 DPI minimum are also accepted. For Metallic, Scodix, and Spot UV cards, artwork must be supplied as a three-page press-ready PDF with the front on page 1, back on page 2, and the specialty finish layer on page 3. Full artwork setup requirements are detailed on each individual product page.
Will I see a proof before printing?
Yes — a proof option is available across all products in this range. You will receive a digital proof via email within 24–48 hours of placing your order. No order will proceed to production until the proof is approved via return email. Please note that physical finishes such as metallic, Scodix, and Spot UV cannot be fully represented in a digital proof — the proof will confirm placement and coverage of the finish layer only.
How long do business cards take to produce?
