How do I set up my design?
On the product page, select either "I have artwork", "Create my design", or "Design it for me" from the artwork options before adding to cart.

What is the "I have artwork" option?
If you have your own SVG file ready, select "I have artwork" — you'll be taken directly to our free online Transfer Sticker Designer where you can upload your file, preview your sticker at exact dimensions, and prepare it for production. No proof is required as what you see in the designer is exactly what will be produced.

Why does the designer only accept SVG files?
Transfer stickers are cut with a blade rather than printed, so the cutting machine needs vector path data to follow. SVG is a vector format that contains this path information. Raster files such as JPG, PNG, or JPEG cannot be used as they do not contain the data needed for cutting. If your artwork isn't in SVG format, export it as an SVG from your design software or use the "Design it for me" option.

Can I use Canva to create my design?
Yes — download your file from Canva as an SVG. All fonts must be converted to outlines before exporting, and any overlapping elements should form a united compound shape. Note: Canva may export some images or raster elements as JPG rather than vector paths — these elements won't be cuttable. If you're unsure, contact us before ordering.

What is the "Create my design" option?
If you don't have an SVG file, select "Create my design" — you'll be taken to our free online designer where you can build your sticker using text and pre-loaded design elements. Once you're happy with your design, it goes straight to production. No proof is required as what you build in the designer is exactly what will be produced.

What is the "Design it for me" option?
If you'd prefer us to create your design, select "Design it for me" — the design service will be added to your cart. Simply describe your sticker in the brief field provided, including any text, colours, and layout details. If you have files to share such as a logo, email them to shop@stickerman.com.au after ordering with your order number in the subject line.

What does the Design it for me service include?
The design service includes a basic layout using your supplied text or logo, simple lettering or standard transfer sticker layouts, and two design proofs for amendments and approvals. It does not include logo design or illustration, complex graphics or branding work, or multiple design concepts. More complex artwork will be custom quoted before work begins.

Do I need to supply cut lines?
No — our cutting machine reads the outline of your vector artwork directly. No separate cut line is required.

What if my uploaded file isn't suitable for cutting?
If your SVG file isn't suitable for cutting, we'll contact you directly before proceeding. If you're unable to adjust the file yourself, we can provide a custom quote to prepare a cut-ready file for you.

Are there minimum size requirements for transfer stickers?
Yes — due to the nature of the cutting process, there are minimum size and detail requirements that must be followed for a successful result.

All lines and strokes must be at least 2mm thick.

All lettering must be a minimum of 20mm in height. For all-caps bold sans-serif fonts only, a minimum of 10mm in height may be achievable — please email your file directly for a test cut and custom quote before ordering.

For lettering smaller than 20mm in complex or decorative fonts, please contact us before ordering as additional charges may apply.

Why are there minimum size requirements?
Transfer stickers are cut with a tiny blade and the unwanted background vinyl is manually removed before application tape is applied. The smaller or thinner an element is, the less adhesive there is to bond with the surface. Very thin lines can curl over time and small text may be susceptible to lifting with cleaning or handling. Minimum size requirements are in place to ensure your sticker performs as expected once applied.

My design has fine detail — will it work as a transfer sticker?
Highly detailed designs with thin lines, intricate elements, or small text may not be suitable for the transfer sticker process. If you're unsure whether your design meets the requirements, please email your file to us before ordering and we can advise whether it's suitable or suggest adjustments.

What material are transfer stickers made from?
Transfer stickers are cut from long-term outdoor self-adhesive pre-coloured vinyl. Unlike printed stickers, the colour runs through the material itself rather than being applied on top, giving pre-coloured vinyl the highest fade resistance available — making it the best choice for vehicles, boats, outdoor signage, and any application involving prolonged UV, heat, or saltwater exposure.

What is the difference between single colour and two-colour transfer stickers?
Single colour stickers are cut as one piece from a single colour of vinyl and supplied with application tape ready to install. Two-colour stickers are cut separately from two different colours of vinyl and manually assembled, with the first colour sitting on top of the second. Any overlapping areas in your design will feature the first colour over the second.

What does the application tape do?
Application tape holds all the elements of your transfer sticker together in their correct positions during installation, allowing you to apply the entire design to your surface as one cohesive piece. Once applied and pressed down firmly, the tape is peeled away leaving just the vinyl on the surface.

Will transfer stickers fade over time?
All vinyl will fade over time with prolonged exposure to UV and the elements — however pre-coloured vinyl offers the best fade resistance of any sticker material. Because the colour runs through the material itself rather than being printed on top, it is significantly more resistant to UV fading, heat, and saltwater than printed vinyl.

What surfaces can transfer stickers adhere to?
Transfer stickers adhere best to smooth, clean, flat surfaces including painted metal, fibreglass, glass, and hard plastics. They are not suitable for textured, ribbed, or rough surfaces, or any surface that curves in two directions simultaneously. For vehicles with ceramic or Raptor coating applied, stickers will not adhere reliably.

Are transfer stickers removable?
Transfer stickers feature strong permanent adhesive designed for long-lasting outdoor application. While they can be removed, the vinyl will not be reusable. They are not designed for repositioning once applied.

How long does it take to produce transfer stickers?
Our general turnaround time is 2–4 days from order confirmation. Please note that orders exceeding 50 stickers or involving multiple colours may take longer — contact us directly if you have a large or complex order and we'll provide an accurate timeframe.

When will my order be shipped?
We ship every Tuesday and Thursday when our local postie collects from us. Your order will be dispatched on the next available collection day after production is complete.

Yes! Please contact us directly to discuss your timeline and we'll do our best to accommodate your needs.

Who do you use for shipping?
We use Australia Post for all our deliveries, ensuring reliable and trackable shipping across Australia.

How long will delivery take once my order ships?
Delivery times depend on your location and the Australia Post service used. Standard delivery typically takes 2–6 business days for metro areas and 3–10 business days for regional areas. You'll receive tracking information once your order is dispatched.

Do you offer express shipping?
Yes, express shipping options are available through Australia Post. If you need your stickers urgently, contact us directly and we can arrange both expedited production and express shipping to meet your deadline.

Will I be notified when my order ships?
Yes, you'll receive shipping confirmation with tracking details once your order is collected by Australia Post on our scheduled Tuesday or Thursday pickup.

If I order multiple different products will my entire order arrive together?
If you order multiple different products, they may be dispatched separately as each item is completed. This means you might receive your order in multiple packages at different times. Each dispatch will be sent with tracking information so you can monitor all your deliveries.
