How do I design my boat registration sticker?
Use our free built-in Sticker Designer on the product page. Click "Design Online" to open the designer in a new tab, enter the name you'd like on your sticker, and choose your preferred font and vinyl colour. When you're happy with your design, click "Finish & Continue" to add your sticker to the product page where you can see a preview of your design before ordering.
How do I order after designing my sticker?
Once your design is added to the product page, you'll see a preview of exactly what you'll receive. Select your quantity and add to cart.
Will my sticker look exactly like the preview?
Yes. When you add your sticker to the cart, your design is automatically run through our production converter tool which creates a print-ready file — no manual setup is required on our end. What you see in the designer and on the product page is exactly what you'll receive.
What type of sticker is best for jetski registration numbers?
Most jetski registration numbers are supplied as transfer vinyl lettering (also called cut vinyl). This means there is no background — just clean, individual letters and numbers applied directly to the hull. If you need multi-colour logos or graphics, a printed and die-cut vinyl option may be better.
Materials & Durability
Are jetski registration stickers waterproof?
Yes. Our marine-grade vinyl is designed for long-term outdoor use, including saltwater environments.
How long do they last?
Standard marine vinyl lasts up to 5–7 years outdoors, while printed and laminated vinyl lasts up to 5 years outdoors. Actual lifespan can vary depending on UV exposure, surface colour (dark surfaces absorb more heat), and storage conditions.
Are jetski stickers suitable for all surfaces? They adhere best to fibreglass, gelcoat and plastic surfaces. They do not stick well to rough textured surfaces, oxidised or chalky gelcoat, silicone-treated areas, or low surface energy plastics. These stickers are not suitable for ribbed surfaces, textured trims, or any surface that curves in two directions simultaneously (such as a compound curve). This is a print and cut vinyl, not a wrapping vinyl, and will not conform to complex surface profiles. If you're unsure whether your surface is suitable, please contact us before ordering and we'll be happy to advise.
Why won't the stickers stick to my Sea-Doo (or similar jetski)?
Some jetskis, particularly Sea-Doo models, have hull panels made from low surface energy plastics such as polytec or PP (polypropylene). Standard adhesive vinyl does not bond reliably to these materials. If your jetski has plastic body panels rather than fibreglass or painted surfaces, the stickers may lift, peel, or fail to adhere altogether. However, we can produce stickers using a high-tac vinyl designed for low surface energy plastics — contact us for a quote.
Are jetski registration stickers removable?
Vehicle door stickers feature permanent adhesive designed for long-lasting application. While they can be removed, depending on the surface and how long they've been applied, some adhesive residue may remain and the vinyl will not be reusable.
It's worth noting that over time, UV exposure can cause the paint around your stickers to fade, while the area beneath the sticker remains protected. This can result in a "shadowing" effect — where the outline of the sticker becomes visible once removed. To minimise this, we recommend removing stickers after 3 years, polishing the surrounding surface, and re-applying fresh stickers. This helps maintain an even finish and keeps your jetski looking its best.
How do I apply jetski registration stickers?
Your sticker arrives with transfer paper (application tape) applied over the design, holding all letters and elements in position. Clean and dry your surface thoroughly, position the sticker with the transfer paper still attached, apply pressure to adhere it, then carefully peel away the transfer paper to reveal your design. Detailed application instructions are included with your order.
