FAQs

Product & Specifications
What is Class 1 reflective tape?
Class 1 is the highest level of reflectivity available for consumer and professional use. Our Class 1 reflective tape is produced with Diamond Grade retroreflective vinyl, constructed from prismatic optical lenses that return almost 60% of available light — nearly double that of traditional prismatics. It meets AS/NZS 1906.1 and is trusted by emergency services, fleet operators, and safety professionals worldwide.

What is the tape suitable for?
Class 1 reflective tape is suitable for a wide range of applications including emergency and fleet vehicles, trailers, plant and construction equipment, traffic management signage, marine vessels, workplace safety marking, and any application where maximum visibility day and night is required.

How does Class 1 compare to Class 2 reflective tape?
Class 1 uses full cube corner prismatic technology for maximum light return — nearly double that of Class 2 enclosed lens retroreflective. Class 1 offers superior performance at greater viewing distances, in more challenging conditions, and with a wider distribution of light.

Materials & Durability
What temperature range can the tape handle?
The tape operates across a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C, making it suitable for Australia's harsh climate conditions.

Is the tape weatherproof?
Yes — the tape is fully weatherproof and designed to withstand extreme temperatures, UV radiation, heavy rain, and constant outdoor exposure.

What surfaces can the tape be applied to?
The tape uses a high-performance pressure-sensitive adhesive suitable for most smooth, clean surfaces including painted metal, aluminium, fibreglass, and rigid plastics. For best results, ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from wax, grease, or contaminants before application.

Is the tape removable?
Class 1 reflective tape uses a very strong permanent adhesive that can damage paintwork on removal, particularly after extended application. If paint protection is a concern, we recommend testing on a small area first or contacting us to discuss your application.

How do I apply the tape?
Ensure your surface is clean, dry, and free from wax, grease, or grime before application. Peel the backing and apply the tape firmly from one end, pressing down as you go to ensure full contact and avoid air bubbles. For best results on longer runs, use a squeegee or firm card to apply even pressure across the full surface of the tape.
